Here is one of the new InColors: Crushed Curry. This velvety color is a slightly greener yellow than our other ones, more intense than So Saffron. I find it avery sophisticated and in-style kind of yellow. This card, made with the Garden Greetings set (p.55) was inspired by some flowers (chrysanthemums I think) that I saw while driving. It's a wonder I ever get where I'm going for gaping at flowers.
On top of the Crushed Curry layer is a layer of medium window sheet stamped with white Staz-On ink. On the back I rubbed the stamping with Taken with Teal ink; on the front I kept the Staz-On white. The central flower I embossed twice with white embossing powder, once on Real Red and once on Taken with Teal cardstock. Then I cut them out and secured the middle with a clear rhinestone brad from the Pretties Kit. Ribbon is 1/4" Real Red grosgrain. The final touch was white dots with the gel pen. Feels like frosting a cake! This fabulous gel pen also creates a slightly raised design. Keep one at your side at all times!! [Tip for getting an even line of dots: drop your first 3 dots at either end of the line and one in the middle. Continue filling in the middle of each section until the line is filled in.]
